Susan is a UT Austin grad with a degree in Advertising. For 13 years she worked at ad agencies and radio & TV stations in Dallas and Austin, specializing in account service, media buying, promotions, and media sales. In 2007 she decided to take a break from the ad biz, downsize her lifestyle, and go on a series of mission trips to serve the poor in Central America, Africa, the Middle East, and India. Since then she has worked in inner city ministry in East Austin using her communications skills to mobilize and connect other Christians to serve the poor right here in our own city.
In her current role at AFF, Susan feels blessed to be able to use her advertising experience to help faith-and family-friendly local businesses grow, while continuing to volunteer with various East Austin ministries. She lives in east Austin with her husband Todd, a Montana native, their yellow lab, Bentley, and fat orange tabby, Monty. Susan and Todd are expecting their first child in December.
